Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has deleted his social media accounts, shocking his fans all across the globe. Anyone accessing his Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages is greeted with the message saying that his “page does not exist.” Salah went off the grid without telling his fans why. However, he did leave a cryptic tweet sometime back, leading to people speculating about his sudden online disappearance. His last tweet has been screenshotted and is widely being shared on social media.
"2019 Resolution: Time to get in touch, for real," read his final tweet. A couple of fans speculated that Salah’s social media purge occurred because the player wanted to put more focus on his game, and lauded his effort. Others pointed out that MoSalah, as he’s popularly known, deleted his handles following criticism he received for his alleged diving. Salah was on the front pages after being accused of diving during Liverpool match against Crystal Palace, which they won 4-3.
This was the second time in this season that Salah has been singled out for his antics. As of now, Liverpool is at a training camp in Dubai. Salah became a popular figure for the Reds after joining them from Roma in 2017 and scoring 50 goals in 72 appearances. Liverpool will next play against Leicester City on January 30.
