Suresh Raina lashes out at fake news on his accident, assures fans he's safe
Over the last few days, many fan pages on social media and Youtube have posted news and updates related to Suresh Raina. The said report claims that the left-handed batsman has injured himself after an accident. However, the batsman has slammed the news doing the rounds on social media and has responded to them as well. Raina has urged his fans and well-wishers not to believe such news and assured everyone that he is doing fine health-wise.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, 32-year-old Suresh Raina stated that he is doing all right at the moment. Raina in the tweet revealed that his family and friends are disturbed with the news and is hopeful that strict action will be taken against the perpetrators of the news very soon. Raina also stated that the Youtube channel which circulated the rumour has been reported.
It's been a few days now that news articles related to Raina’s injury and death have been doing the rounds on social media. But the cricketer's clarification should put an end to all unnecessary talk.
Raine isn’t the first player to have faced problems due to fake news. In the past, cricketers like Nathan McCullum, Abdul Razzaq were declared dead by reports on social media. The players were forced to issue statements and assure the fans of their wellbeing.
