Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been booked for domestic violence by sister-in-law Akanksha Sharma. Akanksha, who was last seen in the season 10 of the famous reality show, Bigg Boss has filed a case of domestic violence against the cricketer, her mother-in-law Shabnam Singh and her husband Zoravar Singh, reports Spotboye.
The first hearing for the case will take place on October 21 and Akanksha has refused to comment until then. Her lawyer, Swati Singh confirmed the news. “Yes, Akanksha has filed a case of domestic violence against Yuvraj, Zoravar and their mother Shabnam,” Swati was quoted as saying by Spotboye.
“Look, domestic violence does not mean just physical violence. It also means mental and financial torture, which can be attributed to Yuvraj. He (Yuvraj) was a mute spectator to the suffering caused to my client by Zoravar and his mother,” the lawyer said.
Adding to it Swati also said that Yuvi’s mother Shabnam had recently filed a complaint against Akanksha for recovery of some jewellery in all likelihood. “This recovery could possibly be of some jewellery, it’s not of money,” she said.
“When Yuvraj and Zoravar’s mother was pressurizing Akanksha to have a baby, Yuvraj too had joined in to do the same. He too told Akanksha ‘to have a baby’. He was hand-in-glove with his mother. Yuvraj would even tell her that she should obey his mother because she was the most superior person in the house. That lady is extremely dominant. Zoravar and Akanksha were at her mercy for every decision.” said Akanksha’s lawyer Swati.
Akanksha and Zoravar got married on February 27, 2014. During her stay in the Bigg Boss house, Akanksha made a few shocking revelations about her troubled marriage with Zoravar.
