Former US President Barack Obama has been busy since he left the White House, but his busy schedule doesn’t mean that he’s immune from doing his civic duty. Obama has been called for jury duty in Chicago.

The county commissioners were told by Cook County Chief Judge Tim Evans during a budget hearing that Obama, who owns a home in Chicago’s Kenwood neighborhood, will serve in November this year. The president is also registered to vote in Chicago.As standard practice, every former US President since 1958 receives a pension, Obama gets around $203,700 or Rs 1,32,18,093 per annum. As jury member of the Cook County he will be paid $17.20 for each day of service.
